Course Content:

  • Acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency.
  • Responsibilities of an Emergency Paediatric First Aider, recording incidents and actions and the use of available equipment
  • Treating an unconscious breathing child and baby including recovery position
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation child and baby (CPR) & safe use of a defibrillator
  • Asphyxia – including Choking & Asthma
  • Shock
  • Minor Injuries including injuries to the ears and eyes
  • Understanding temperature
  • Allergies, Anaphylaxis and safe use of an auto-injector
