Course Content

  • Acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
  • Treating an unconscious breathing patient & recovery position (including seizure)
  • Choking
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and safe use of a defibrillator
  • Role of the Emergency First Aider & legal requirements
  • Shock
  • Minor Injuries
  • Additional modules – Asthma & Allergies, anaphylaxis and safe use of an auto injector (Epi-pen)

More About This Course

This single day course is applicable if your risk assessment indicates that first aid training covering emergency protocols only, is sufficient for your workplace.

This course is designed for those who have identified a need for an Emergency First Aider.

The First Aid at Work course is run over 1 day (6 hours training), and meets the criteria as laid out in the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Anyone over the age of 16 years can attend. Certificates are valid for 3 years.
