First Aid at Work
About this course.
Course Content of Health and Safety Regulation 1981
The First Aid at Work course is run over 3 days (18 hours training), and meets the criteria as laid out in the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Anyone over the age of 16 years can attend.
Acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency.
Treating an unconscious patient (including seizure)
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Wounds and bleeding
Preventing cross infection, recording incidents and actions and the use of available equipment
Fractures, Sprains and Strains
Spinal, Chest and Eye Injuries
Severe burns and scalds.
Heart Attack, Strokes, Asthma Attacks
Certification is valid for 3 years
